Robert C. Harris, CAE

Robert C. Harris, CAE, has managed associations for more than 20 years at an association management company he founded in 1979.

He speaks professionally on non-profit issues, association efficiency, risks and liabilities, leadership responsibilities, membership, and staff training. He has addressed the:

  • ASAE - American Association of Association Executives
  • ASAE's state allied affiliates
  • The British Society of Association Executives
  • The European Society of Assocition Executives
  • The Canadian Society of Association Executives
  • and, scores of state and national association boards

He teaches a course called "Association Management 101." He is an instructor for the US Chamber at the Institute for Organization Management.

He offers a three-hour online course titled "Association Management 101" to orient new employees to the unique aspects of working in a non-profit organization. It is available at the websites for the NJ SAE, GA SAE and FL SAE.

His Self Auditing Process® has been used by nearly 2,000 non-profit organizations internationally. The intent of the 150-point assessment sysytem is to improve operations, enhance customer service, train staff and reduce risks. He often consults with association management companies on operations, marketing and profitability.
